Nuit Blanche

There was an event last night in Paris called Nuit Blanche, where there would be installations all around paris and it goes on late into the night, so does the metro. I met up wtih some friends at Trocadero and i really loved the installation there.

 APOLITICO - WILFREDO PRIETO

Sur le trottoir de la place du Trocadéro, face au parvis des Libertés et des Droits de l’Homme, des drapeaux de différents pays du monde flottent en haut de leurs mâts comme pour un sommet politique mondial. L’artiste en a supprimé toutes les couleurs, ne conservant que le dessin et le graphisme, rendus en noir et blanc et dans différentes tonalités de gris. Une curieuse impression de nivellement et de brouillage s’ensuit. Gommant les différences entre les symboles nationaux, Apolitico, 2001 véhicule un message multiple : appel pacifiste ou commentaire sur les effets de la mondialisation.

It was a good night, and i'm glad i went out! Today was very eventful too but i think i'll blog about it tomorrow. In the mean time, i have some work to finish by today, accompanied by this warm lemongrass drink which was taught to me by someone i met today! About this tomorrow too (:
