Istanbul Day 2

Breakfast at the rooftop hostel with a view of all the other roofs in istanbul haha. no photo of that as i couldnt get a good enough view.

Then i visited the grand bazaar! together with an aussie girl i met at my hostel, Nancy. I was tooo busy shopping in there to take any photos. haha. There were tons of accessories being sold, and all sorts of souvenirs and pretty lamps. The place is huge! i didn't have time to finish exploring, sadly. But i bought a pair of earrings for myself (:

Man selling carpets just outside the bazaar main entrance
Then we went to Taksim. The happening place where everyone hangs out. My hostel was at sultanahmet, which is the old city of Istanbul. We took a train and a furnicular to get here.

Monument at Taksim square
Turkish sorta burger. it has meat inside a burger that has lotsa sauce. Tasty
Along the side streets of Taksim
Demonstration along the streets of Taksim. Apparently there's always at least 1 every weekend!
After walking around and a break for coffe, we decided to walk back to Sultanahmet. It was about a 45minutes walk.

The bridge we had to cross. Many people fishing there.
The busy road and view of Istanbul city.

This was sooo yummy! grilled fish in a baguette bread.
I had a kebab for dinner from this kart nearby my hostel. Supposedly one of the best in Istanbul. It was pretty good!
I love roadside stalls! (
bisous!
